We have a great team of skills instructors for our girls to learn from the best of the best. Each of these skills instructors is dedicated to a Rep team for the season, one player coach and one goalie. Working closely with the coaches and following Hockey Canada guidelines, our Dolphins are obtaining some of the best instruction available.
Brittany Howard – Player Skills Coach

Born and raised in St. Thomas, Ontario Brittany played her Minor Hockey close to home for the St. Thomas Panthers, BAD (OWHA) and London Devilettes (PWHL). After her three-year stint in the PWHL, Brittany went on to receive a full scholarship to play Division I Hockey at Robert Morris University. During her time at RMU, she posted 181 points in 138 games, notching 79 goals and 102 assists. She was a 2018 Patty Kazmaier Award top-ten finalist, CHA player of the year in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018, Second Team ACHA All-American 2017-2018, and the 2017 Dapper Dan Charities Pittsburgh Sportswoman of the Year.
After she completed her NCAA career, she was a 2018/19 Toronto Furies pre-sign draft pick in the CWHL. At the height of her playing career, she was a Team Canada senior carded athlete in contention for the National Team. She is a current member of the PWHPA, an organization advocating for the promotion and equality of Professional Women’s Ice Hockey.
Brittany has ten years of experience as the lead female on-ice instructor for Hockey Detail, a company owned by Mike Ellis who is the director of player development for the Tampa Bay Lightning. She has been the lead female on-ice instructor at Victus Academy, a High School teacher and on-ice instructor at Everest Academy, and lead female instructor for Verbero Hockey. Currently, she is the BAD Girls Hockey Director of Skill Development.
Julie Allen – Player Skills Coach

A native of Brampton, Ontario, Julie Allen played NCAA Division I hockey at the University of New Hampshire from 2008-2011. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from UNH in 2011. After college, Julie continued her playing career in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) with the Toronto Furies from 2013-2015. Julie was a member of the 2014 roster that led the Furies to a Clarkson Cup Championship. During the 2020-21 season, Julie was a member of the Toronto Six of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).
In addition to her playing career, Julie boasts an extensive background in coaching and skill development. Julie has experience as a skill instructor at both Varsity Hockey (Brampton, Ont.) and Journey to Excel (Etobicoke, Ont.). Julie is coming up on her third year as an assistant coach with the Etobicoke Dolphins u15 AA team. Julie has worked closely with several teams within the association, with her focus primarily on on-ice skill development.
Elijah Milne-Price – Goalie Coach

A native of Mississauga, Ontario, EJ played two years in the PWHL for the Burlington Barracudas and then the Mississauga Jr. Chiefs. She received a full scholarship to Robert Morris University, the Division 1 program out of Pittsburgh. While at RMU, she was named to the 2018 All-Conference First Team. She was the first goalie in RMU history with a career GAA at 1.79 and tied for first in RMU history with a career SV% of .926. She set a single season shutout record with six, as well as a record 181:09 without allowing a goal. Once retiring from the NCAA, she was drafter 36th overall by the Markham Thunder of the CWHL. She currently works independently with a number of goalies in the GTA, as well as with O’Hagan Goaltending.
Haley Rath – Goalie Coach

Haley played in the Dolphins organization from 2005-2017. Additionally, she has been a goalie coach within the organization since 2014, both helping teams privately and helping run the goalie side of the skills clinic. Haley, graduated from Humber college with an advanced diploma in sport management, representing the Humber Hawks hockey team during the 2019/20 season. She brings her experience coaching and playing to the game, helping to grow the confidence of the young athletes while teaching them strong technique.
Marlie McLaughlin – Players Skills Coach

MarIie is a knowledgeable defensive player and coach with 8 years of experience in on & off ice training for hockey performance. Marlie is an Ottawa native, moving to Toronto to attend the University of Toronto where she competed for five years with the Varsity Blues, two of which as assistant captain. Following her Kinesiology degree at UofT, Marlie completed her postgraduate in Sport & Event Marketing at George Brown College where she also represented the school on-ice. Marlie has spent 3 years as the defence coach for the Leaside U15 AA team and in 2019 had the opportunity to be the defensive coach for the newly formed National Lebanese Women’s Team. As a coach, Marlie believes in the development of strong high-performance athletes achieved through commitment, hard work and of course fun. Marlie has continued her career in Sport Marketing now managing brand partnerships with NHL Teams.
Kristen Richards – Player Skills Coach
Kristen Richards is currently a member of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA), following four seasons with the Markham Thunder (formerly the Brampton Thunder) of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL). During her CWHL career, Kristen played over 50 career games , winning the Clarkson Cup Championship in 2018. Prior to that, she played NCAA Division I hockey for Niagara and Robert Morris, where she finished 6th all time in points, qualified for the All-CHA Academic team, and led the teams to successful playoff runs. Kristen continues to bring her expertise to the female game with her on-ice skill development programs within the Etobicoke Dolphins organization.
Lindsay Eastwood – Player Skills Coach
Eastwood grew up in Kanata, ON, having played for the Nepean Jr. Wildcats before going on to be a 3-time captain at Syracuse University. She led the team to their first CHA Conference title, with a spot on the All-Tournament team. She currently sits second in career points as a defender in program history with 23-52-75. In 2015, Eastwood represented team Canada at the U-18 World Championships. Now a member of the Toronto Six, she was apart of the team in their inaugural season in the NWHL. Eastwood scored the first goal in franchise history. Away from the ice Eastwood works in Digital Marketing.
This is Eastwood’s second season working with the Etobicoke Girls Hockey Association. Previously she has worked for the Apex Skating and Carleton University as an on-ice instructor. As a defenseman currently playing the game she looks to help inspire the next generation while sharing her experience to grow their skills.
Carly Richardson – Goalie Coach

Carly has been a goalie coach for 12 years and has developed her own goalie school called Own The Zone Goaltending which has been successfully running for the past 5 years throughout the GTA as well as internationally. She is also the head goalie coach for development camps in Florida with Anders Eriksson and Barwis Hockey. Carly was drafted to the CWHL in 2011 to Brampton Thunder and in 2017 to Markham Thunder and is currently partnered with Franco Goaltending since 2018 where I train OHL/Pro goalies. Erica Howe – Goalie Coach

Erica has been coaching for various teams in the GTA for the past 7 seasons. She has experience coaching a wide range of ages and experience levels from U7 to U21. Erica has also participated as a goalie coach with the Canadian National Team’s U18 and U22 programs at goalie camps and summer festivals.
In addition to coaching, Erica is a current member of the professional women’s hockey players association (PWHPA) and a tenured member of Canadian National Women’s hockey team programs from 2009-2020. She won a Clarkson Cup in 2018 with the Markham Thunder (CWHL) and was named MVP of the playoffs. Prior to joining the CWHL Erica played Division I hockey at Clarkson University (2010-2014) on a full scholarship.
Erica is very passionate about coaching and sharing her experiences with the next generation of athletes.
