The Dolphins goalie program is back for another season!
The Dolphins are pleased to announce that Toronto Furies goaltender Elaine Chuli has joined our Monday Night Clinics as a goalie instructor. Elaine played NCAA Division I as a 4-year starter for the University of Connecticut. Her senior at UConn year she was an All-American and a Hockey East First-Team All-star, posting a save percentage of .941. Elaine is the Hockey East all times saves leader. In 2017 she joined the CWHL playing for the Vanke Rays, posting a record of 14 wins (including four shutouts) and 11 losses. She posted a save percentage of .913 with a goals against average of 2.94.
Elaine has also won a gold medal with Team Canada in 2012 at the Women’s Under-18 World Championships and a gold medal with Team Canada at the Nations Cup in 2016.

Our Instructors
The Dolphins goalie program for the upcoming season has been revamped to focus on individual players through a semi-private format (to create a 2:1 player:coach ratio).
Classes will be limited to 6 to 8 goalies per session, so registration for each weeks session is required.
About the Goalie Program
The goalies will focus on goalie specific power skating and crease work drills to continue building on solid core goalie skills.
1. Proper positioning for playing angles
2. Proper stance + glove positioning
3. Proper closing the gap between yourself
4. Proper Recovery Techniques
5. Proper Rebound control
6. Pivot quicker and properly
7. C-cuts, T-push, Shuffle
8. Developing better foot speed
9. Improving overall reaction time
10. Improve verbal communication skills on the ice.
