Abbey’s Goal
EDGHL continues to support Abbey’s Goal, read below to see their recent invite.
You’re invited.
November 28 is Abbey’s 13th birthday. She should be here, celebrating with her friends, becoming a teenager, on the precipice of a whole new age and stage of life. We know she would be doing amazing things and all we can do is make sure those amazing things are still done and her legacy lives on.
Join us in celebrating her, by participating in her annual birthday kindness drive.
This year, we have chosen to support 3 different needs in our community:
- new toys for children, infants to teenagers, living at the Ernestine Women’s Shelter
- New kitchen ware (dishes cutlery, small appliances) for newcomer families from Afghanistan supported by the Afghan Women’s Organization
- Warm socks, hats and mitts for men and women living unhoused in our city.
Sit with your children or families and talk about these issues – decide which one you would love to support – or perhaps you will support all 3 :-). Join us in sharing kindness and warmth with our community and those who need it the most. Have conversations that are so important to have today and always. Let Abbey’s legacy grow and let’s all live a little more like her.
